October 7th!

It's only a little over 6 months until our annual Buddy Walk of Atlanta!  We'll be going back to Centennial Olympic Park again this year on October 7th.  Please consider joining our team, Troy's Trekkers, or donating to this cause that is near & dear to our hearts.  Our family doesn't see a dime of the money, it all goes to the Down Syndrome Association of Atlanta (DSAA). DSAA partners with the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) and holds an annual Buddy Walk fundraising event in October, which is National Down Syndrome Month. The Buddy Walk is an opportunity for the Down syndrome community to come together for an afternoon of fun and games, to take a "walk" together, and to raise funds for the organization.  The DSAA has been a lifesaver for our family!  Without it, we wouldn't know most of the things we've learned about Down syndrome & the resources available to us.  If you'd like additional information or you'd like to join our team, let me know!  :)
The DSAA also has a Spring Social fundraising event.  The past 3 years that we've attended, it has been at Zoo Atlanta.  But this year, it's at Stone Mountain.  Oh, how I'd love to be able to take Troy to it this year, but it's at the beginning of May & we can't take a newborn out for that long.  So we'll have to miss it this year.  :(  But we'll be at the Buddy Walk with bells on!
